Rev. Betty Sandy, Pastor

Pastor Betty just joined the family of Clifton Heights in September of 2009.  She and her husband Rich come to Des Moines from Ohio, so they don't know many people in the area yet.  Stop by or give her a call to welcome her to Clifton!

Susanne Bollard, Office Administrator and Treasurer

Susanne Bollard has lived in the Des Moines area for over 30 years.   She says she was born and raised in Iowa, but has also lived in Kansas and South Dakota.  She was born in Marshalltown, IA.  She has 3 younger sisters. She graduated from Ottumwa High School and also Patricia Stevens Fashion Merchandising and Secretarial College in Omaha, NE

Her first full time job in Des Moines was at Montgomery Wards.  After a couple years working in retail, she said “There’s something else in this world I can do”, so she answered a classified ad in the shopper.  The ad was for Allied Insurance.  After working there for 27 ½ years, she retired in May 2005.

In April 1996 she married Jim Bollard.  She has 7 nephews and 6 nieces. 

Her hobbies include sewing, crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, shopping, spending time with nieces and nephews.  

She belongs to a social sorority – Beta Sigma Phi.  She also volunteers at Kids Fest sponsored by Children’s and Family of IA and Junior Achievement.

Darrel has been going to the church for a number of years and recently decided he would be able to help out thru custodial duties.
