Now Seeking, Pastor

Now Seeking is really not the name of our pastor, but you knew that!

Presently, Clifton Heights Presbyterian Church of Easter Lake is in between pastors. We are seeking a man or woman to fill the pulpit and lead us who has a passion for ministry and working with multiple age groups. A familiarity with technology in worship such as PowerPoint is a real plus!

Paula has been a long time member of Clifton Heights and we are proud to have her as our Children's Ministry Director

Paula was twin born 1-10-73 to Danny & Bobbie Sease

Started attending Clifton in 1977 age 4 years old

Became member 3-3-89

Taught Sunday school for 10 years grades K-12

Joined Clown ministry at Clifton when teenager

Organized church dance for 6^th-8^th grade for 30 kids

Graduated from Lincoln High School 1991

Graduated from AIB College 1993

Vacation Bible School Director for 2 years in a row

Youth Director 5 years included 2 trips to Colorado with 7 or more youth and 1 trip to Minnesota for Sunshine Festival with 8 teens and Acquire the Fire 2 years with 10 or more teens.

Married in the church 3-6-99

Baptized both of her children at Clifton, Jacob 2005, Rachel 2007

Susanne Bollard, Office Administrator and Treasurer

Susanne Bollard has lived in the Des Moines area for over 30 years.   She says she was born and raised in Iowa, but has also lived in Kansas and South Dakota.  She was born in Marshalltown, IA.  She has 3 younger sisters. She graduated from Ottumwa High School and also Patricia Stevens Fashion Merchandising and Secretarial College in Omaha, NE

Her first full time job in Des Moines was at Montgomery Wards.  After a couple years working in retail, she said “There’s something else in this world I can do”, so she answered a classified ad in the shopper.  The ad was for Allied Insurance.  After working there for 27 ½ years, she retired in May 2005.

In April 1996 she married Jim Bollard.  She has 7 nephews and 6 nieces. 

Her hobbies include sewing, crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, shopping, spending time with nieces and nephews.  

She belongs to a social sorority – Beta Sigma Phi.  She also volunteers at Kids Fest sponsored by Children’s and Family of IA and Junior Achievement.

If you ask John why he attends Clifton, he would jokingly say, his wife Kim brought him here. However, John has truly added to the life and fellowship of Clifton. Mostly, John's music talent of singing and guitar has lifted up our worship.

Kim has been a life long member of Clifton. Her passion for ministry and her talent in music have been a significant part of our ministry.

John and his wife Kim, are working both as our custodial team and John is the director of music.

My wife Kristie and I started attending Clifton last June and fell in love with the church right away.  Outside of Clifton, I am a Database Administrator for Principal where I've been for the last 5 years or so.
